What Are The Features Of Periscope Clone Script?
Members List
Both viewers and publishers can see a list of all the members of the broadcast, with their publishing status and time at which they started publishing. The publishing status of a member is updated in real-time.
Viewers List
Both viewers and publishers(including the host) can see a list of all users in the audience.
Viewers Updates
Real-time update of the list of viewers as the new user joins/leaves the audience of the broadcast.
Add Co-publisher
The host can add a user as co-publisher(for both private and public broadcast) from the list of users or viewers.
Switch Role
Once a viewer has been added to a broadcast by the host, he can switch roles to a publisher or continue watching the broadcast as a viewer. A join button for a co-publisher is visible for the newly added member in real-time.
Publishing Status
A viewer can at any time start/stop publishing in a broadcast.
Leave Broadcast
A member has the option to leave a broadcast if he is a member. Once a member leaves a broadcast, he can no longer switch role to a publisher unless explicitly added again, by the host.
Co-publish Request
A viewer can request to be a co-publisher in a broadcast unless already requested.
Accept/rejectCo-publish Request
The host can accept/reject a co-publish request of a viewer to be a co-publisher in a broadcast.
Delete Co-publish Request
Unless accepted/rejected by a host, a viewer can remove his co-publish request.
Co-publish Requests List
The host can see a list of all co-publish requests(only valid for public broadcasts) and the list is updated in real-time, with the status of each request(accepted/rejected) earlier shown as well as pending requests.
Join Broadcast As A Publisher
Once the request has been accepted, the viewer will see an option to switch role to a publisher if active on a given broadcast in real-time both in chat, as well as a popup and a separate join button. If the request has been rejected by the host viewer can either continue watching the broadcast as a viewer or exit.
Co-publish Request Status
A viewer can see the status of his co-publish request and co-publish can only be requested once.

Any of the members of the broadcast can remove a message from a viewer or peer members.
Message Placeholder
The removed message will be replaced by a placeholder message containing details of the time at which the message was removed and by whom, visible to all viewers/members of the broadcast.
Exchange Messages
Viewers and publishers(including host) can send real-time messages including messages from some predefined messages(emojis).
Delivery Status
Each of the messages sent in chat will have delivery status(single tick) once successfully sent.
Co-publish Request Message
Co-publish request is also shown as a chat message to the host with accept/reject buttons, and he can accept/reject co-publish requests from chat messages as well.
Send Likes
Viewers can send likes(floating hearts) in a broadcast.
Realtime Presence Events
All the presence events are logged in UI as chat messages as well which includes events for-Member added, remove and left, Viewer join and left, Member started/stopped publishing, Co-publish request made/deleted, Co-publish request accepted/rejected, Switch profile from a viewer to a publisher, Connection of viewer/publisher getting severed(timeout).
Chat History
Historic message retrieval, all the messages exchanged including gifts and likes can be read by the user(viewer or publisher) who joins a broadcast after the message has been exchanged. Realtime presence events are not available for retrieval later.
Go Live
Go live as a solo broadcaster or start a multi-live or add co-publishers before starting a broadcast.
Public/private Broadcast
Start a public or private broadcast which only hosts can add co-publishers, viewers can’t request copublish.
Cover Image
Select the broadcast’s cover image from the gallery or capture the image from the camera before going live.
Broadcast Description
Add broadcast description which defaults to hostname unless edited.
Streams List
The list of live streams is updated in real-time when a new broadcast starts or is ended.
If the user is a member of a broadcast then the count of the publisher, members, and viewers is updated in real-time as well in the streams list. Each stream in the grid will have details of the host(name, image) as well as stream description and duration for which broadcast has been live, along with icons to depict whether the broadcast is a multi guest and private.
Scalable
Up to 6 members can co-publish and they can have up to one million concurrent viewers.
End Broadcast
Once the broadcast is ended by the host, it ends for all.
Broadcast Offline
If the last member publishing in a broadcast goes offline, the stream will be ended for all users.
Broadcast Duration
All viewers and broadcasts can see the duration for how long the broadcast has been live for which is updated in real-time.
Broadcast details
All viewers and broadcasters can see the details of the host who started the broadcast.
Chat Messages
Both viewers and publishers(including host) can toggle the visibility of chat messages.
Network Stats
Both viewers and publishers(including host) can toggle the visibility of network stats for each of the remote users and self.
The network includes frame-last mile delay, Video transmission to receiving bitrate ratio, Audio transmission to receiving bitrate ratio, Transmission quality-Uplink, Receiving quality-Downlink, Data loss transmission to receiving bitrate ratio, and CPU usage.
Control Buttons
Both viewers and publishers(including host) can toggle the visibility of control buttons.
Switch Broadcasts
A viewer can scroll to switch between broadcasts. Once the broadcast has been switched, the UI for all widgets on the broadcast screen is updated to reflect values for the current broadcast(duration, viewers list, join button, chat messages, host details, etc).
Settings State
State of various settings like chat messages/network stats visibility is maintained between broadcast switches.
Remote Media’s State
The state of the remote media on the switch to a broadcast is by default set to unmute for both video and audio.

- Google Map API – We use google map api’s for tagging locations with a post and also for sharing locations inside the chat. A google map API key with billing enabled is required to use this service.
- Apple Developer Account – An apple developer account is required to host the app under your name. An account costs $99/year. Individual accounts are pretty easy to create but if you need the app to show under your company name then you will need to apply for a company account and that requires a DUNS number that you will need to first acquire to get listed as a developer with apple.
